Thai Boxing (or Muay Thai) has a long history in Thailand and is Thailand’s national sport and arguably the most effective standing combat sport in the world.

Thai Boxing is referred to as “The Science of Eight Limbs”, as the hands, shins, elbows, and knees are all used extensively in this art. A master practitioner of Thai Boxing has the ability to execute strikes using eight “points of contact”.

Thai Boxing differs from Kickboxing by the use of low kicks (kicks aimed to the legs), elbows, knees and the clinch, all of these strikes can be devastating.

Thai Boxing is fought over 5, 3minute rounds at the highest level (A class) and in Britain fighters build this up from C class which is competed over 3, 2 minute rounds, B class which is 5, 2 minute rounds until they reach A class fighting.
